Soap Fun

Recipe 4 Rubber Duckie Soaps
1 Bar of Glycerin soap (usually yellowish and transparent)
A soap mold or other suitable container Like
a small round plastic container
A plastic Rubber Duck
How To Make:
Begin by melting the block of soap down in a double boiler(pan in pan) method, then pour it into a mold and place the rubber duckie half in and half out. This will make it look like its sitting in water and looks really cute you can add food colouring and fragrant oils just prior to pouring into the mold ... Let harden overnight.
Try using other Toys like spiders, dinosaurs ...
Recipe 4 Decoupage Soaps
This is a great Craft idea to help encourage your kids to actually use the block of soap when they are in the bath ...
What You Will Need:
Plain blocks of soap
Some small stickers or cut out pictures for the decoration
White P.V.A Glue (non toxic)
paint brush
How To Make:
First using the P.V.A wood glue, paint one layer of glue onto one side of the soap that you will stick your picture to.
Then place your sticker onto the soap and allow to dry.Once the glue is dry apply another coat, keep doing this until you have around 10 coats of glue over the top of your picture...allowing it to dry each time ..the more coats the longer the picture will last!
*The Glue used Is NON TOXIC and is safe to bath with ,soap will flow from the underside of the soap bar (opposite side to picture)
TRY THIS GREAT IDEA:
Use photogrpahs or Printouts of photographs to personalise your
Soap's....
Recipe 4 Bath Buddies
I have used this project at camp and in a kindergarten classroom and both times it has gone over very well!
What You Will Need:
Ivory Snow detergent (or any other soap flakes)
Liquid food colouring
Water
Vegetable oil
Bowl
String (if you want soap on a rope)
How To Make It:
In a bowl pour approximately 3 cups of soap flakes.
Add 1 to 1 and 1/2 cups of water with a few drops of food colouring added to it.
With your hands mix the contents of the bowl until it forms the
consistency of play dough.
To shape it, take a drop or two of vegetable oil and rub it between
the palm of your hands -- now shape anyway you wish.
If you want to make a soap on a rope, cut a piece of string and tie
the ends together. Push the knotted end gently into the your finished shape. Let the completed soap stand to set over night
