When ripped up jeans are just the thing your daughter is drooling over, but the miserly mom in you says "i'm not paying THAT much for jeans with holes in them", there is a way to make both of you happy! Buy some bargain jeans and convert them into cool jeans yourself. You'll save money and your daughter will think you're all the rage.
This is a fun mother/daughter project.
Nothing says family time better than decorating the tree together as a family and enjoying lots of laughter. And nothing makes the decorations more personal than if they are made by the family. Here are some great craft ideas for making decorations.
I am so exited about our new family Advent tradition! I really feel like it will help to keep our focus on Christ above all of the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season.
Have buckets of fun with these water crafts like "Beach in a Baggie", "Fish In The Water Pictures" & "Balloon Yo-Yo's" this summer!
This is a super-fun craft to make and it is a perfect father's day gift for the hubby and even the grand fathers.
Each project takes less than 15 minutes, costs less than $10 and uses the artwork your kids have created throughout the year.

These are some of my favorite crafts for kids and adults for Valentine's Day.
A great teacher's gift for Valentine's Day -
Decorate a medium sized terra cotta pot...fill with Styrofoam ....cover the foam with moss. Attach candy bars (the candy bars used in the poem) to bamboo skewers (I taped them to the back, so it didn't ruin the candy) and then put these (flowers) into the pot...attach the following poem:
Ah, food, glorious, food! Combining crafts and food are a fun alternative to the usual craft activities. Each of these craft activities are geared for younger children but you may find the older ones getting involved too! So dress the kids in old clothes and let 'em have fun!
What do you do when the fridge just won't hold anymore? No, I'm not talking about food, I'm referring to Artwork! You know, those cherished pictures every child brings home, insists it's their favorite and on the fridge it goes! Can you just throw them away when the child is not looking? Not in my family. My dear mother has saved my kindergarten artwork in a box for over 25 years! So how does a mother keep her home organized and still display and enjoy her children's artistic efforts?
