5 a day guaranteed
A great way of getting kids to get their 5 portions of fruit and veg a day is to make kabobs! Simply chop up chunks of fruit and veg, and let the kids make their own by sliding the chunks onto wooden skewers. They have great fun making their own food and experimenting with different colors and patterns, and as it's a finger food, they will enjoy eating it too. Foods to try are Cherry tomatoes, carrots, celery, mushrooms, apple, satsuma, banana, grapes....the list is endless and they have such fun experimenting that they don't think twice when it comes to eating them.
