Solve the Burned Rice Problem
If you have ever burned rice while cooking it, here is a tried and true method to eliminate that smokey taste from the rice. Take a small glass, approximately 4 oz., you want to be able to fit it inside the pot that the rice was cooked in. Place the rice in the center of the pot of rice, pushing it in until only the bottom of the glass shows through the rice. Place the cover back on the pot and let it sit for ten - fifteen minutes, depending on how much rice you have prepared. The glass absorbs the smoke from the rice, and although you may still smell the smoke there will be no burned flavor to your rice.
