Discouraged with trying to restock your spice cupboard with poor quality, ridiculously expensive grocery-store herbs and spices? Recently, I was walking around a health food store and saw that they had herbs and spices in bulk to be purchased by the ounce. I stocked up, filling my spice cupboard for a fraction of the price I would have paid at the grocery store, and ended up with fresh, strong-flavored herbs and spices in exactly the amounts I need. Now I won't buy anywhere else.
