Boo Boo Buddy
Keep a supply of dark colored washcloths on hand to clean bleeding boo boos. Since these don't show the blood much your child will be calmer. As they calm, the bleeding will slow and getting the wound fully cleansed, dressed and bandaged will be much easier for you and less traumatic for them. I cut up a dark towel that had frayed on the edges and made a stack of wash cloths. Some moms can use their whole stack at one time because it's easier for them and their child. Just remember to soak the boo boo buddies in cool (not cold) water out of sight of the little injured one before putting the cloths into the laundry.
