HOME STORE
A thing I do with my kids I have two cards for my kids an AM card - it list things that need to be done before going to school (brush teeth, make bed, eat, wash face ect..)and an PM card - (do homework, pick out clothes for next day, do chores, brush teeth, clean room, read ect..) each time they are done doing what they have on their card thay hand it in to me this means everything is done and I don't have to nag or chase behind them. The way this works and what makes them want to do it, I have a store in my home for them. Things my kids want real bad. Things they see toys, books, videos, clothes anything. I make up fake money called lavalle dollars (my last name) they earn $2.00 a day one in the morning and one in the night each item in the store is labled with a price 2x a month they get to shop at the lavalle store with their money or if they are saving for something big in the store they can skip to shop and save up until they can buy it. This helps them learn to count money, save money be responsible (because they have to keep track of their own money)do their chores and other things and it is stressless for parents.I do not give them their money if they don't turn in their AM or PM cards or don't realy do what is on it (which rarley happens) no exceptions are made. And if they are real disobeident according to what it is they have done they get x amount of dollars taken away. This works so well I have four kids ages 3,91/2, and 11 girls and one boy 7. They are better behaved because they don't want to loose their money. remember the items are always priced higher then what you actually pay for it.

Homemade Barbie House
Things you'll need
1. Old box
2. Wallpaper sample book
3. Old bath towel
Wallpaper the box. Have an adult mark and cut out the windows. Measure and cut the bath towel for the carpet. You can tack it down with a glue gun. Be creative - cut pictures out of magizines or use little pictures of your friends. I used to have so much fun doing this when I was little. Hope your little girl does too.

Individual Craft Trays
When making crafts with several children or a group, I like to use individual styrofoam plates. In each compartment, I put a different item to be used for the craft. For instance, one compartment gets the glue, one the paint, one the beads, etc. It sure saves fighting over the individual bottles and saves on mess! Easy clean up too!

Jack-o-lantern light
When I was teaching we couldn't use candles for our Jack-o-lantern as it is against the fire codes to light any type of candles in a school building. So we cut a hole in the back of our pumpkin and put in a flashlight. I have been using this idea for years and it works great. You can still use a small candle if you prefer. Cutting your pumpkin this way makes it much easier to light the candle and blow it out when the night is over.

junk mail crafts
I am always looking for craft ideas and ones that are free are even better. The envelopes that have the plastic windows can be used for picture frames. Just cut the envelopes just down from the window and slid a picture inside the window; tape it secure. Glue end closed. Then on the side, top or bottom write a message. If you want a standup cut out cereral box to fit and fold in half and cut two small slits. Open up half way and put envelope on it like an e-sal. This would be great for mom or dad's office desk at work.

Kiddy Pool Holes
You're setting up the plastic kiddy pool when you find it has a hole in it, fix it with bathtub non-slip stickers. If it can hold up under bathtub water why not in the pool? Be sure to clean around the hole before patching hole.

Kids own little picture pack
My 2 year old daughter loves pictures. So i decided to get a third copy for her to have. I gave her a empty diaper wipe box to keep her pictures in. Doing this helps her be reminded of her family and friends she does not see often so she does not forget who they are are what they look like. It helps her stay close to her family and friends that live away from her. Also it is fun to sit with her and listen to her tell me about the picture and tell me who it is.

Kids puzzle craft
Kid's puzzles
Can be used as a birthday craft or in children's church
Determine the size of picture to be drawn: (small)
count out number of popsicle sticks
(they can be saved & cleaned in dishewasher or soaked in dilluted bleach mixture to clean)
tape a strip down each side with small masking tape
Allow child to draw picture on it & color
(I have used markers , crayons)
Untape the picture & slip into a zip lock baggie
In order to put the puzzle back together, arrange popsicles to get the picture.
You can label the baggies & give as a gift.
This is a fun Craft to do before a vacation & take along to do in motel or car trips with a lap pillow.
- for Bible school or church we put verses on one side & allowed child to color on other side. We sliped a note in of the verse they learned taht day. We wrote the verse in a sharpie pen & taped them together before we had the class to save time.

Kitchen Aprons
I asked my Mom to make kitchen aprons for my children, one boy age 6 and one girl age 4. The print is green clovers and red lady bugs. I brought them home, and both of my kiddos put them on, and rushed to the kitchen to help out. They helped with the meal prep, washed dishes, attempted to clean the stove, and had many laughs. Kids love to do things if a parent will just put a little fun into it or simply add something new, such as the aprons.

Kite Craft
My kids love kites and flying them but we can't always get to the park to do it and the kites get ripped real easily so I figured out a way to make fun kites they can play with in the yard.
You just take a plastic grocery bag and tie a string on each handle of the bag. You can leave the string in a loop for the child to easily hold onto or cut the string and tie them together. The kids can add ribbons for decorations on the string.
These kites fly great on windy days and even on not so windy days the kids can run around and they go up in the air easily. Just make sure to keep the string short like 8ft or less.
My kids like to tie them to the fence and watch the wind whip them around too. It's good cheap fun!

Leave the sand at the beach!
Put cornstarch in a baggie with a terry washcloth and bring along to the beach. It totally removes all traces of sand before you leave. I strip my toddlers down at the car or showers and wipe the sand away leaving them soft and it soothes sun exposure. Works on mommy's feet too!

Looking Back At Memories
My daughter and I have come up with a way for her to look back at her memories. We call it "Clear View of my Memories". We found some clear plactic boxes and put pictures, crafts and anything special to her in it so she can look at all her favorite things and keep them. You can either decorate the box or leave it plain, makes a nice gift to someone after all decorated.
