Thanksgiving is next week and our family has already begun salivating over the thoughts of pumpkin pies, yeast rolls, yummy casseroles and of course .... THE TURKEY & DRESSING (it's a southern thing) lol. But then I received these tips about how to have a healthy Thanksgiving and my dreaming came to a halt ... oh yeah ... we're on a family health kick ... hmmmm..
I know you ... you are searching the web, looking at newspaper ads ... trying to figure out that PERFECT gift for everyone on your list. Hopefully, we can help with this list of products we love!
Now you see them. Now you don't! You can perform your own Halloween magic this season by turning your old snack-size containers into a decorative treat display.
Make time each day for at LEAST one pre planned (by the child is most beneficial) activity for the day, that gives them something to look forward to. (You can make up a calendar and let the child help fill in that special something each day that you will DO WITH THEM)
Submitted by:TashaUse plastic hair coloring gloves found at Walmart, fill fingertips with candy corn followed by popcorn, tie with colored yarn and put a Halloween ring (spiders, skulls or bats) on one of the fingers. These make great treats for Halloween parties at school!
Submitted by:Tina HoganIf you are the one preparing the Christmas meal this year - I recommend you start it 3 to 4 days ahead. Many holiday dishes can be made ahead of time and if you do one a day - all you need to make on the day itself might be the meat (Turkey). I usually cook a mashed potato casserole a day ahead. Cranberry sauce 2 days ahead. Stuffing can be prepared 3 days ahead. Dessert - 4 days ahead. The key is to choose the types of recipes that KEEP...and then list out the days of the week and what you will make each day.

St. Patrick ’s Day seems to become a bigger holiday every year. I remember as I kid, all we did was wear green to school and pinch everyone who forgot. Now, we have green rivers, food, and lots of decorations. To help you have a fun day celebrating with your kids, here’s a quick roundup of the history of this holiday and some craft ideas.
This is one of my favorite things to do with my kids or with a group of kids at church. This can be a family fun learning time or a great Sunday School lesson. The making of these cookies is a hands-on way to tell the story of the death & resurrection of Jesus as we celebrate Easter.
